Downtown

Downtown McKenzie contains the scenic “downtown square”. Businesses that surround the square include a drug store, clothing stores, furniture stores, gift shops and the public library.

Additionally, the downtown area is rich in history. Many of the buildings have been maintained since the early 1900’s.

The “downtown square” also displays a cannon, which dates back to the latter part of World War I.

Also located around the square is the Gordon Browning Genealogical Museum. The museum contains extensive history on the City of McKenzie and neighboring communities. Records are also available for tracing genealogical information for residents of Carroll and surrounding counties. Various items of historical significance are displayed within the museum.
